Since 1980, PLM Families Together has tackled the problem of homelessness, by helping families become independent. PLMFT is one of the largest of its kind in the state, housing an average of 90 parents and children every night in Wake County. In order to increase community awareness and support , we hold regular informational programs, called Journey Day. At this one-hour briefing, you will meet the Executive Director, hear personal stories from former residents, learn about the many ways to be involved, and meet others in the community who want to make a difference in the lives of families. This is the first step in becoming a volunteer. This is not a fundraiser, and you will not be asked for a financial contribution. Light refreshments will be served at all presentations.
